API v1

The console is fine for a marketing blast. It is the wrong tool for an order-confirmation your system needs to send 400 times a day. API v1 is a plain REST interface: one call to send to one or many numbers, one call to read the result per number.

• API keys you create and revoke yourself in the console. Several per account, so staging and production can be separated and one leaked key does not take the other down.
• Idempotency keys. Send the same request twice, by accident or after a timeout, and you are charged once and the recipient gets one message. This is the part most SMS APIs get wrong, and the part that costs you money when they do.
• Per-number status using the same four outcomes as the console: delivered, undelivered, rejected (refunded) and pending. They stay separate so your reconciliation matches your invoice.
• Same price as the console. No API surcharge.
• Clear English error codes and rate limits designed so a runaway script cannot empty your balance in a minute.

FPX and DuitNow top-up

Until now, topping up meant a WhatsApp message and a bank transfer, and waiting for one of us to add the credit. You can now top up from the console by online banking (FPX) or DuitNow QR through toyyibPay, and the credit lands in your balance automatically within seconds of the bank confirming.

The amount you are charged is shown in full before you leave our site: credit, the payment gateway fee, and SST where applicable. The credit added to your balance is exactly the amount you chose; fees and tax are on top and never come out of your credit.

WhatsApp top-up is still there for anyone who prefers it.
