A lot of our customers run their shop or booking site on WordPress, and until now connecting it meant writing code against our API. Not any more: we have built an official plugin, and it is in the WordPress.org review queue now.
One free plugin covers the three reasons a Malaysian WordPress site sends SMS:
Messages go out from our shared short code 66886, which cannot receive replies. So "reply STOP" is not an option, and the plugin creates an unsubscribe page instead, adds its link to campaigns if you want, and removes unsubscribed numbers from every marketing send. There is no "send to all customers" button on purpose: under the PDPA you need consent for marketing SMS, so campaigns go only to people who agreed. Our PDPA guide explains the rules.
Numbers can be typed in any Malaysian format, and the segment counter uses the same rules we bill by, so the estimate on the review screen matches what is charged.
Update, 24 October 2026: the plugin is now listed on WordPress.org. Install it from inside WordPress.
The plugin has been submitted to the WordPress.org plugin directory. Review can take a few weeks; we will post here when it is listed so you can install and update it from inside WordPress.
You do not have to wait. Download it from our plugin page, upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, paste an API key from your console, and send yourself a test SMS. The plugin is free; SMS are paid from your HantarSMS balance at your normal rate.
